Central Bureau of Investigation finally Investigated YSR Congress Chief and Kadapa parliamentarian Jaganmohan Reddy drove down to the Raj Bhavan road office of the investigative agency to be questioned in the Vanpic deal aspect of the disproportionate assets case against him.
The Vanpic project deals with the allocation of 28,000 acres of land by the YSR government after acquiring the land from farmers at a cheap rate to promoter Nimmagadda Prasad at concessional rates and the CBI case is that Prasad in a quid pro quo arrangement, invested crores of rupees in Sakshi newspaper and TV owned by Jagan.Amidst massive security arrangements Jagan set out from his Lotus Pond residence in Jubilee Hills a little after 10 am and arrived at the Dilkusha Guest House the make-shift CBI office, at 10.30 am.
The police cordoned off the entire Raj Bhavan road from the general public and only the media personnel were allowed upon proving their identity.While CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana is believed to be questioning Jagan, another team including some senior officials are quizzing the three other persons arrested in the Vanpic deal aspect of the Jagan assets case namely former excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, industrialist and promoter of Vanpic project Nimmaggadda Prasad and bureaucrat K V Brahmananda Reddy.
